Moodboarding, Disovery

In the dicovery phase, we’ll get to know the artists history , personal and artistic influences as well as the motivations of the label and marketing goals for the project, understanding who Sal’s existing and targeted audiences are, and begin to develop a moodboard and collect materials and visual language that will inform the explorations.

Initail Explorations & Delivery of Primary Graphic Styles and Brand Materials

Once we’re aligned on an aethetic space to work in, I’ll go off and take a significant “shotgun style” pass at developing graphic materials that capture the artists direction and start to begin a conversation around what is resonating with the artist. Album / Single Art

Once we’ve established a visual language for the artist, we can rely on and further develop the materials from the initial explorations into finalized single or album art directions for print and digital releases, this typically includes a few rounds of development for and final delivery of high resolution print and digital imagery for distrobution.

Show Poster Templates

Bad Magic can develop a system of formatable show posters, in an edit-friendly medium like Canva etc for the artists team to be able to quickly make changes and create a system of 3-4 show or tour posters based on the brand.

Similar to show / tour posters, we can create a flexible editable system of social media content templates for static and video overlays that allow the artist or management team to quickly and efficiently create their own content blocks based on the Bad Magic templates

Merchandise Design (Single Article)

Merch designs can pull from existing or materials, or be dedicated “one off” designs based on a new concept, and include mulitple explorations and final delivery of print-ready materials as well as interfacing with print & merch manufacturers to oversee completion.
